He appeared to have started to spell Chicago wrong but caught himself before it was too late. He later held up the piece of wood that read Chicago. He started using an angle grinder, to carve something into a piece of wood. After Reo Cragun, left the stage, Flume started throwing paper all over the stage. Little did I know things would get even more strange. He was standing behind her, putting a plant into a pot. While she was performing, Flume decided it would time to do some gardening.
Then, he brought out Vera Blue to perform Never be Like You.
He continued playing some of his hits like Amber and brought out his first guest Slowthai to perform High Beams. He started out his show, spray painting something, while playing a perfect introduction song ( Hi! This is Flume). Enough introduction let’s talk about the show and answer the question everyone wants to know: What the F*** was Flume doing during his set? I wanted to turn up, go crazy, and see an unforgettable performance. Given that he was the last set of the weekend, I was expecting a lot. So when I saw he was going to be at Lolla again, I knew I had to see him. Ever since, I’ve kept up with his music pretty regularly. I remember seeing him in 2016 and really enjoying his set. It’s crazy how in just 3 short years Flume went from being a mid-afternoon set to closing out one of the main stages of Lollapalooza.
